On March 4, 2015, open source enthusiasts will be networking and sharing knowledge in a technical conference. Brian King, European Community Manager at Mozilla, is headlining the conference Make Open Source Software (MOSS) and will talk about “What happens beyond the code – the challenges and successes of working in the open”. MOSS 2015 is organized by ANIS – Association of Software and Services Industry in collaboration with Intel Romania Software Development Center. The event takes place at the Central Library of the University Politehnica of Bucharest, on March 4th.

For one day, developers, managers of projects or teams, students and teachers interested in open source technologies are expected to take part in presentations and in-depth technical discussions about virtual machines, Internet of Things, large-scale deployments by Puppet Labs, concrete case studies about scalability in Azure Cloud and live demonstrations. It will be a good opportunity to bring together professionals and the Open Source community in Romania,” said Mihai Constantin-Pau, Engineering Manager, Intel Open Source Technology Center of Intel Romania Software Development Center.

The event will include a presentation about the beginnings of open source in Romania and developing GNU Interactive Tools held by Andrei Pitis, ANIS President and one of the first open source contributors from Romania, 20 years ago.
